God’s Presence in the Growing Season

For the last several weeks, I have been led to notice the huge farms as I drive from one town to the next. I live in Eastern Washington where farmers have prepared their fields, for this growing season. I see the regal bright yellow of the canola fields, the deep green and soon to be golden wheat, the brown of the fields being prepared, as the farmers sow their soil for other crops. I think about potatoes, sunflowers, barley, corn, and hay. As I lookout at the fields of crops, I feel the immeasurable presence of God’s Spirit.

In The Garden
In Days under the Sun,
In our garden, Earth….
We are schooled to become Gardeners.
How to tend our Master’s Fig tree.
We grow, in our Father’s Love,
we grow in faith as a mustard seed,
….
We pay alms to the Master gardener….
Spreading the Good News, seed for a new crop.
We plant with love,
Water with the Word,
Pull the weeds in reverence….
By the power of the Holy Spirit
we walk in Righteousness and Light.
…
We, too are driven by a God given diversity,
to drive deep roots of faith….
…
In faith we step out, and claim
the grapes of the promised land,
a bountiful harvest for wine of the Spirit!
…
Let the rain of the Holy Spirit
wash away the inequities of the generations…
purifying the Church!
…
As our harvest comes….
seasons change.
we reap what we have sown…
in Love….
may we never taste bitter fruit, for love is key
to the Kingdom!
…
Our relationship with God
allows his will to work
in us at rest,
restoring, strengthening….
as with soil,
being replenished in fallow
…
Live in the Word, as it will live in you,
in Transfiguration, thank the Lord in all things….
for one day we will leave this Garden, Forevermore!
Sow yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it’s time to seek the Lord till he come and rain righteousness upon you. HOSEA 10:12.
