Recalibration Live is offered every other month via zoom and features a variety of speakers describing aspects of spiritual practices and spiritual life.
Saturday, July 11 – “Tending Our Own Sparks: A Retreat for Spiritual Companions and Soul Tenders” with Callie Swanlund

Those who hold space for others—spiritual directors, retreat leaders, and soul companions—bring a particular kind of gift to the world. And yet, the very ones who tend to others can find their own spark flickering low. This retreat is an invitation to pause, be nourished, and tend the flame within you.
Drawing on the SPARK Practice from Callie Swanlund’s book From Weary to Wholehearted, we will move together through a time of reflection, prayer, and renewal. Callie will also lead us in a meditative sound bath—a grounding, embodied experience using instruments from around the world—as a way of inviting holy rest and deep listening. Whether you arrive carrying weariness or wonder, come ready to receive. Come with whatever you carry. Leave with a renewed sense of your own belovedness and the courage to keep tending your spark.
This is an open event – all are invited to participate.
Presenter Bio (brief): Callie Swanlund is an Episcopal priest, retreat leader, spiritual companion, and coach who guides people from weariness and burnout to wholeheartedness. She is the author of From Weary to Wholehearted and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator in the work of Dr. Brené Brown. Callie leads retreats, workshops, and embodied spiritual practices—including sound meditation—around the world, which help people reconnect with their belovedness, creativity, and Spark.

National Gathering
Hearts on Fire holds a National Gathering and Retreat in even-numbered years, usually in mid or late summer.
The location of this national event varies geographically across the United States. The Retreat brings an inspirational leader, who helps make this a time of renewal and spiritual growth for those of us who focus much of the rest of the time on the spiritual growth of others.
