I offer spiritual direction in Goshen, Indiana, and by video conferencing and phone. My most recent book describes spiritual formation ministries within many congregations: A Quiet Pentecost: Inviting the Spirit into Congregational Life (Upper Room Books, 2013). I have offered retreats in spiritual formation since 1980 and continue to enjoy doing so, as invited.

I'm a long time spiritual director as well as a having a certificate in the art of supervision of directors. Currently I am the founder and Coordinator of a spiritual companioning ministry with unhoused people in Sacramento, California. I am retired clergy.

I have served as Minister of Congregational Care at an FUMC church since 2015. Prior to joining the church staff, I worked as a hospice nurse. I am also a Stephen Leader in our Stephen Ministry program.

I was introduced to spiritual direction when I began a 2 year Academy for Spiritual Formation in 2018. I have found it so valuable to have a safe unhurried space with someone who is attentive to patterns of how I relate to God and who asks insightful question to help me catch glimpses of God's presence in my life journey. I hope to offer a safe unhurried space for others.

I completed my 2 year internship in spiritual companionship with Manresa Jesuit Retreat Center in Bloomfield Hills in 2022. I have learned much from my Jesuit Friends. I have experience in the United Methodist, Baptist and Presbyterian traditions.

I am a leader for small contemplative groups and retreats and am passionate about contemplative prayer and it’s power to transform, guide, and heal. As a former psychologist with children and teens, I’m particularly interested in teaching these practices to teens and young adults- sure wish I had learned earlier!

Bob resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife Cece and their furry friends Jackson, Traveler (Huskies), Hot Shot, Catfish, & /scamper (cats). Bob completed the Louisiana Conference Academy of Spiritual Formation and Direction in 2012 and has completed the UMC requirements for Certification at Garrett Evangelical Seminary and worships at First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. I am available to be your companion while you explore the Numinous Mystery that many call God whether or not you identify with any particular religion. My certification from the Haden Institute is in the contemplative and mystical tradition making use of the depth psychological insights of Carl Jung and others as well as creative expression and dreamwork. I am endorsed by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry Endorsing Agency to do volunteer spiritual direction within and outside the institutional church. I am passionate about walking with people on their journeys of faith and helping others notice God present and active in their lives. I am certified as a spiritual director, supervisor, mentor, and interim minister. I hold a doctorate in ecumenism and interreligious dialogue and a Master of Divinity focusing on spiritual formation and direction. An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, I have served a variety of creative ministries. With the New England Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, I lead in a variety of ways. I am an active member on the Commission of the Status and Role of Women (COSROW), a team member of the Ministry Exploration Summit and a Dismantling Racism and Mentor trainer for the Annual Conference.

I first encountered the divine as a teenager, while backpacking the trails of northern New Mexico. There was something about the still, spacious expansiveness afforded by the desert wilderness that allowed my soul to come alive. Since that time, I have grown increasingly aware that the human soul is created for connection: connection with the natural world that nourishes and gives us life; connection with the physical bodies that we inhabit; and connection with the divine Spirit that dwells within. As a spiritual director, yoga instructor, and outdoor adventure enthusiast, I delight in entering into moments of sacred conversation in both traditional and nontraditional spaces, and enjoy weaving earth-based spirituality and yoga into the practice of Spiritual Direction. I was formed and remain rooted in the Christian tradition, yet I have a sensitivity toward those who find themselves in a more "spiritually independent," "spiritual but not religious," or "spiritually skeptical" space.

Beverly Marshall-Goodell is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church who served small, medium and large congregations in Iowa and Illinois for twenty years. She also has a Ph.D. from Florida State University in Experimental Psychology, and taught and conducted research at The University of Iowa for nineteen years. She has conducted spiritual retreats in the congregations where she has served, and offers individual and group spiritual direction. She has completed training in Mental Health First Aid and has led support groups for family members of persons living with mental illness.

Pat is called to journey alongside others as they discover God's voice and story in their own lives. Drawing on 46 years of pastoral and chaplaincy ministry and his experience as an Air Force veteran, he is especially drawn to walking with clergy, ministry leaders, men, and veterans.

My calling is to spiritual formation. This calling takes several forms:

Susan's (she/her) ministry of compassion and contemplation holds space for encountering the Holy One. By seeking the Christ in all, Susan helps others to know and embrace their own identity as God's beloved, worthy of love and grace. Together with the directee, guided by Spirit, Susan journeys with her directees toward wholeness in Christ.
Susan is an alum of the 2-year Upper Room Academy for Spiritual Formation, Shalem Institute's Nurturing the Call program for spiritual directors, and Shalem's Transforming Community group and retreat leadership program. As a local pastor for the United Methodist Church, Susan is the pastor for a collaborative and affirming campus ministry at the University of Kansas. (United Methodist and ELCA Lutheran).
Susan's spiritual guidance, group, and retreat ministry practice is available via in-person and zoom encounters. Group and retreat experiences can be customized to meet the needs of retreatants and groups.

Listening to others talk about their spiritual journey is a gift and a privilege. My hope and prayer as a spiritual director is to join others as a companion on their spiritual journey seeking God in their daily life.

I have a long history of being involved in church work as a musician (organ, keyboard, handbells, choral, & education). I have served both as small group convener and worship/music in a variety of 5-Day and 2 Yr Academy for Spiritual Formation. I am a retired educator having served from Parent-Infant through Postsecondary in the area of services/education for individual with disabilities. My current interest includes teaching the spiritual wisdom of the Enneagram and Labyrinth work.

It was her soul-ripening experience as a directee which led Brandy to pursue training in the ministry of spiritual direction. She holds a deep belief that when one’s story is told, heard, and sacredly held, a sense of freedom and purpose comes to light.

Brandy enjoys working one-on-one and with small groups, and she has an appreciation for the practices of lectio divina and visio divina.

Brandy’s training is fully accredited through the Benedictine Spiritual Direction Program at Benet Hill Monastery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I offer spiritual direction and retreats. I have considerable experience working with those who are grieving, especially those who are survivors of suicide loss. I play the Native American Flute as a prayer practice and use it also as a centering with directees and during retreats. Photography has become a contemplative prayer practice for me and I love to share my photos. I am also Reiki practitioner and offer that as a spiritual and prayerful experience.

It is my joy and calling to listen deeply to the spiritual journeys of others, helping them to discern the presence of Spirit in the events of their lives and offering guidance in various spiritual disciplines practices. Rev. Liz Nau is a retired UMC pastor, spiritual director and retreat leader. Liz Nau is a retired Methodist pastor and Spiritual Director with over 35 years of experience leading retreats. She received her M.Div. from Ashland Theological Seminary and holds graduate certificates in Spiritual Direction from the Ignatian Spirituality Institute at John Carroll University, and Formational (Inner Healing) Prayer and Small Group Leadership in Inner Healing Prayer from the Institute of Formational Counseling at Ashland Theological Seminary and is a Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Leader. Her interests are in Ignatian Spirituality, Celtic Christian Spirituality, the spiritual disciplines especially prayer (Ignatian Contemplation, art as prayer, embodied prayer, prayer walking, silence) and pilgrimage. Each has been unique and transformative in her spiritual journey, and she welcomes the opportunity to share some of her experience and insight with others.

As a spiritual director I seek to assist pastors, church workers, and any Christian to be more effective in their lives. Spiritual direction is a safe place to take stock of one’s journey.
