Through deep listening and gentle questioning, with silence and with prayer, in spiritual practices and Scripture, I offer adults a Holy-Spirited space to pour out their hearts to God. As we dwell together in God’s embrace, I assist directees to open their hearts to God’s compassionate response. My ministry of spiritual direction and retreat leadership is grounded in extensive learning through Journey Partners spiritual direction training, the spiritual formation certification programs of the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry and the Institute for Discipleship, and more than two decades as a practitioner. An ordained United Methodist deacon, I was an editor and essayist for the anthology, Embodied Spirits: Stories of Spiritual Directors of Color. In addition, I offer the online course, “Abiding in Christ Together: Creating Gospel-Centric Retreats, at www.BeADisciple.com. I am currently offering spiritual direction on Zoom.
