How Do You Wait?
We have entered into the season of Advent. Advent comes from the Latin word “adventus” which means “coming or arrival” and is the beginning of the liturgical year in Western Christianity. It is a time of waiting, waiting in hope and in joy for the coming of love and peace in the form of a small babe.
Consider how you are waiting. Are you waiting passively as if “what will be, will be”, without hope or joy?
Or are you waiting with openness and trust, knowing that something far beyond your understanding is at work for your good and for the good of the world? I invite you to enter into the following singing meditation from the Taize community entitled “Wait for the Lord” performed by Analyn Solano. As you do so, allow your mind to relax and your heart to open. Be present in the moment and allow God to speak to you.
